One-of-one piece featuring double-ikat sourced from award-winning artisan in Andhra Pradesh one one side & linen featuring intricate hand-embroidery on the other side.
Hand-embroidery is done by Insha-e-Noor, helping rehabilitate the disadvantaged women of Nizamuddin Basti, an area in New Delhi, by providing them enhanced and dignified livelihood opportunities through craft based skills.
Our linen pieces are adorned with the ancient craft of 'aari' hand-embroidery. Originally practiced by the cobbler community of India, it was adopted by Gujarati royal families and popularised in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.
We support an all women's NGO with our craft explorations with 'aari', each piece is unique and might feature characteristic changes due to change of hands during embroidery.
