Magdala Venus Double Breasted Blazer - Mashru Silk

The Magdala double-breasted blazer is inspired by a waist-cinching silhouette from the 60s, embellished with ancient chakri symbol bone buttons on softest mashru silk fabric with a hidden button fastening and satin lining inside. 

Mashru silk is a bridge fabric with silk outside, cotton inside that reached India via ancient trade routes and became prominent parts of Central India in Gujarat, the Deccan, and Uttar Pradesh. It also absorbed influences from Ottoman and Mughal design, carrying a story of travel, exchange, and refined workmanship.

Tanishqa wears size: 'small' open and Kareena wears the same fastened.
