Oracle 'Green' Dress in 'Khadi Muslin'
The Oracle has something to tell you. Worn like a card pulled from the deck — a moon at its back, a fortune in its weave. In khadi muslin from Murshidabad, hand-spun on a Gandhi charkha at 100 count, it arrives in a woven purple, green and grey stripe, cut floor-length, fitted at the bodice, open at the back. The moon sits embroidered where the back dips lowest.
- hand-spun, handwoven Khadi muslin

The Mughals called Bengal muslin woven air — a cloth so fine it was coveted by empires and suppressed by colonial trade. Ours is handspun on a Gandhi charkha and handwoven on a pit loom by craft artisans of Murshidabad, at a pace the machine will never understand. The slight irregularities in the weave are not imperfections; they are the signature of the hand.
